My chosen comparison is between HTML and CSS. While the two do different function but using both of them would make the making and editing website much more efficient. HTML or Hyper Text Markup Language is used to layout the foundation structure of the website like menu, logo, header, footer and content area. It a very forgiving language in my opinion since the code still can be run even if multiple error is present and it was coded with human language while not having to use alot of syntax but it don't scale very well to make bigger and fancier website layout since the code repetition come into play and make the code more convoluted to write. It also make harder to trace the problematic code in the huge HTML codes.
This is where CSS come into play. CSS is a separate file that determine the appearance of the website and it's code work similar to HTML with addition to tags that can be used to modify certain area of the website without disturb the other or can be copy the same style to multiple section of the website. It became popular because of it's modularity as CSS also can be used on other language like XML and XHTML.

From what i have gather from this website, there alot of option to find specific content that is available where the menu tab serve as the starting point of the user search and start narrow down from there with the use of tags, filters and subject. The menu tab contain the most general subject and computer software that most user would most likely to search which link to all the curated video playlist according to section like Editor picks and most viewed by website user. Additional filter also exist like topics, skill level, software and so on with option to remove already selected filters to re-expand search result.
The site also keep track of user course progress if the user is a member of the site so that you can see your progress and remind user on what course to focus to
Video used here also compatible with internet standard which are flash and HTML 5 so that most internet browser today have no problem playing the video. Question 1: Website Evaluation
For this website evaluation which i will be using Jakob Nielsen usability component that consist of Learnability, Efficiency, Memorability, Error and Satisfaction. I have choose two website to evaluate which are:
AMD.com (Advanced Micro Device) which is an American semiconductor company that promote it's computer component product through this website and as place for it customers service by providing driver support and warranty service for their products. Almost
Adobe
The learnability of this website is quite good as the homepage is not cluttered with content and there a simple menu to navigate various section of the site which make user efficiently finding the one that they want. Search bar also exist to help to find not frequently visited section of the website. The website feature icons to help user to instantly recognize the function of the button with description beside it. The overall layout of the website is quite nice to see but very bandwidth heavy with the use of many heavy graphics element. Another point is that it was design to view a bit farther from the screen as everything seem huge when view close up which can make user feel hard to navigate.
AMD
Most information can be found on the horizontal header bar which turn into drop down menu according to which menu button the user hover on. The menu category is pretty straight forward to so that most user can recognize easily on which section they want but there a lack of icon with the exception of the globe icon that represent the language settings of the website which is don't have a really clear cut meaning on first glance. The search bar also exist to help user find specific information faster than going through the menu. Error solution is pretty limited to basic function like undo and most information on the Frequently Ask Question is more on their product that they selling. The design is pretty clean and uncluttered with the same button so that the design is consisted across the site but can be pretty pale to some.
